We created Image of Africa because we believe in a
world where every great mind — regardless of geography — has a global
platform. A world where African speakers, authors, positive influencers,
coaches, mentors, visionary filmmakers, and consultants are not exceptions to
global conversations but essential voices shaping them. We exist to
ensure that when the world discusses climate change, leadership, innovation,
resilience, equity, or human potential, Africa is not an afterthought —
Africa is at the table.
For generations, the world has listened to the same voices. A
select few have shaped the conversations that influence how we think, learn,
build, and grow. But in the background — often unheard, often unseen — Africa’s
brightest minds have been contributing to human progress with brilliance,
creativity, resilience, and vision.
The truth is simple: Africa has always been home to some
of the world’s greatest thinkers, doers, and visionaries. From ancient
civilizations that advanced mathematics, medicine, architecture, and
philosophy, to modern innovators driving change in technology, business,
science, culture, and environmental sustainability — African thought leadership
is not a new story. It’s just one the world hasn’t been amplifying loudly
enough.
We believe it’s time to change that.
Image Of Africa is a hub where Africa’s thought leaders
can unite, shine, and be heard globally. A place where the world can
discover the extraordinary talent, knowledge, and perspectives that have too
often been overlooked. A space where an African environmental scientist in
Accra can inspire a classroom in London, where a leadership coach in Nairobi
can guide a corporation in Toronto, and where a young creative in Lagos can
reshape how the world sees innovation.
But this is bigger than visibility. It’s about balance,
justice, and shared progress. Humanity faces complex challenges that no one
continent can solve alone. By unlocking and amplifying Africa’s intellectual
capital, we help build a world where solutions come from everywhere — and
belong to everyone.
This a movement built for African Thought Leaders, to
benefit everyone.
This is our “why.” We believe Africa’s voice is not just
needed — it is indispensable to creating a better, wiser, more inclusive world.
